What this site's about

This is a wiki site dedicated to the greatest military flight simulator of all time, Falcon 4.0, and all of the variants that have been created over the years, including FreeFalcon and OpenFalcon. Falcon takes an immense amount of knowledge and skill to master, and the goal for this wiki is to create a useful reference for rookie and veteran pilots alike. This site is intended to be maintained and updated by the Falcon 4 community - that means YOU! Anyone can create a Wikidot account and start editing pages today. It's easy, and best of all, completely free.

The purpose of this site is to combine all of the information and expertise of the Falcon community into one web site. My hope is that it will become the best reference site for the Falcon series anywhere on the internet. There is a lot of good material out there, but it is often scattered and incomplete, and lacks links to supporting material. This site is intended to fix that. Anyone with an interest in Falcon is free to add to, update, and improve this web site. The only requirement is that you have a Wikidot account, so we can keep track of who's changing what.

This site is a work in progress. Some pages may be incomplete, and we may not have a page on the topic you are looking for, but please check back often because new content is being added constantly. My main interest is in avionics and flight concepts (I am a flight instructor/avionics engineer in real life), so I am looking for people who would be able to update and expand the sections on aircraft and weaponry. If you are interested, please create an account, and you can start editing and creating new pages immediately.

Where to start

You can select a category of articles that you are interested in from the menu to the left. Or, if there's something specific you're looking for, try the search box at the top right of the page.

How to contribute

Web site news

9/8/2009 - I am back and working on the site after a month off. There should be some good new content coming soon.
7/19/2009 - This site is still in the "construction" phase - some pages are missing or incomplete, and others need to be refined. However, I am still actively working on getting everything up and running. My hope is that I will have enough content in the next month or so to actively start promoting the site and asking for contributions from the Falcon community.
